MEET OUR TEAM
Kaitlyn Gilchrist
Kaitlyn completed the Legal Assistant Diploma Program at Red Deer College in 2014 and joined our Creston office in 2019.. She provides legal assistance for corporate and commercial transactions, including business buy/sell and real estate. In her spare time Kaitlyn enjoys camping and traveling around the Kootenays.
Calista Beier
Calista started her career as a legal assistant in Creston in 1986. She has experience in all the areas of practice at Spruce Notary & Legal, and she is senior support for wills and estates. She is located in our Creston office. Calista loves to travel and is forever daydreaming about where to fly next.
Mary Kwasney
Mary began working with Russ Sheppard in 2019 in our Cranbrook office. She completed the Paralegal Certificate Program at Capilano University in spring 2024. Mary provides legal assistance for corporate matters and transactions, including incorporations and corporate reorganizations. When not in the office, you can find her spending time with her family or on her paddleboard exploring.
Hope Leonard
Hope began working with our firm in 2021 out of our Creston office. She provides legal assistance for conveyancing and real estate matters.. In her downtime, Hope enjoys spending time with her young family in the great outdoors.
Lies Salvador
Lies is one of our administrative assistants working primarily out of our Cranbrook office. Her friendly and considerate nature makes her a welcome addition to the team. When not in the office, Lies can be found hiking in the back country and spending time with her family.
Darlene Gallinger
Darlene began working with Russ Sheppard in 2014. Darlene provides senior legal support on corporate matters and land development. When Darlene is not working, she can be found enjoying life in the East Kootenays with her husband and two children.

Nikki Cutting
Nikki is one of our administrative assistants working primarily out of our Cranbrook office. We are grateful to have her back in our office as she brings with her an array of knowledge and experience. In her downtime, she can be found hiking and exploring with her fur baby, Bruce.
Fletcher Backshell-Jones
Fletcher is one of our newest Administrative Assistants working primarily out of our Cranbrook office. Fletcher recently graduated from Trent University. In his downtime, he enjoys playing and coaching lacrosse, and can be found hiking or skiing any of the hills in the East Kootenays.
